In 2009 Scotlynn added watermelons to our produce lineup and we did not venture into the industry lightly, through extensive research and much appreciated input from our customers on their specific needs we became a major North American watermelon supplier.

Scotlynn's brand new state of the art watermelon packing facility provides us the ability to provide the most efficient ways of grading, packing and distributing our watermelons.

Scotlynn employs some of the most stringent quality control programs available including the use of state of the art equipment. Unlike other watermelon suppliers who use the “tapping” method of quality control, Scotlynn uses the most advanced x-ray machines available. Scotlynn's PSI machines allows our quality assurance personnel to essentially look inside every melon we ship reducing the possibility of hollow spots and bruising thus providing our customers only the best fruit available. These machines are in place not only at our local facility but we have put them in our off site facilities as well so that our customers can rely on consistent top quality watermelons year round.

Our ability to provide fresh watermelons year round is made possible by Scotlynn's top notch transportation and logistics expertise as well as the use of farms throughout Canada, the United States and Mexico. Having farms in different climates enables us to grow watermelons year round and distribute them always using our stringent quality controls.
