Sweet Corn

 

Scotlynn is on of the largest producers of sweetcorn in North America with over 4000 acres grown locally on the the northern shore of Lake Erie and over 4500 acres between Florida and Georgia harvested every year.

In growing sweetcorn for over 20 years Scotlynn has perfected the most efficient ways of harvesting, packing and distributing sweetcorn through out North America. We at Scotlynn have taken that knowledge and used or financial growth to invest in technology like our harvesters that operate 24 hours a day allowing us to ship 35 trailer loads of sweet corn a day. This increase in volume has not compromised our commitment to quality at all, in fact it's quite the opposite we have increased our yield per acre by 35% and continue to meet and exceed standards set not only by our customers but also by their consumers.

 

Scotlynn has also invested in excess of 2 million dollars on hydrocooling equipment to “flash cool” our sweetcorn prior to shipping. This process allows for store delivery in “fresh picked condition”, extending shelf life and flavor of our corn delivered anywhere in Canada or the United Sates.

Scotlynn is capable of packing our product in any pack size required including all sizes of bags, crates, RPC's and bulk bins. In 2003 we introduced our innovative “dozen pack” giving the consumer 12 ears of quality product with 100% return on their purchase. Scotlynn has also recently introduced a full line of tray pack corn packaged with our own Sweet Pac label.
